Join us for a guided walk through Saint-Sulpice Park and discover the fall forest from a new perspective. Through an observation-focused and educational walk, you’ll learn to better understand the changes that transform the forest throughout the seasons and develop a new appreciation for the spectacular colours of fall.
Designed to be welcoming and beginner-friendly, this guided experience will introduce you to the different parts of the forest, help you become familiar with some of the main tree species, and encourage you to notice the small details that make this time of year so fascinating.
During the walk, we’ll explore:
Seasonal changes and what happens in the forest as fall arrives.
The different parts of the forest and their role within the ecosystem.
Basic safety guidelines for enjoying time in the forest with confidence.
How to identify some of the main tree species found in Montreal.
Recommended books and field guides to help you keep learning and prepare for your next forest adventures.
No previous experience in hiking, botany, or tree identification is required — just a curiosity for nature and a desire to explore.
Whether you come on your own, with a friend, or with family, this activity is a wonderful way to get outside, slow down, and take in the vibrant colours, textures, and atmosphere of the fall forest.
The activity will be offered in French.
