Just received your flowers?
Trim the stems
Cut approximately 1–2 cm from each stem on an angle using clean, sharp scissors or a knife.
Add fresh water
Fill your vase with fresh water and remove any leaves that would sit below the waterline.
Find the right spot
Keep your flowers away from direct sunlight, radiators, vents and ripening fruit.

How to keep your flowers happy
Give stems a fresh cut
Trim approximately 1–2 cm from the bottom of each stem at an angle. Repeat every couple of days to help your flowers continue absorbing water.
Keep the water fresh
Change the water every 1–2 days. Clean water reduces bacteria and is one of the simplest ways to help your flowers last longer.
Keep things cool
Choose a cool spot away from direct sunlight, radiators, and heating or cooling vents. Flowers generally prefer a stable environment.
Remove submerged leaves
Foliage sitting below the waterline will break down quickly. Remove it to help keep your vase water cleaner.
Let the bouquet evolve
Not every flower has the same vase life. Remove individual blooms as they fade and allow the remaining arrangement to evolve naturally.
Give them some space
Keep flowers away from ripening fruit, which releases ethylene gas that can cause flowers to age more quickly.

Different flowers, different personalities.
Some flowers have their own little quirks. Find your blooms below for a few extra tips.
Tulips +
Tulips continue to grow after being cut and naturally bend toward the light. Keep their water fresh and rotate the vase occasionally if you want a more even shape.
Roses +
Roses are thirsty flowers. Keep the vase topped up and recut the stems regularly. If an outer guard petal looks bruised or tired, it can gently be removed.
Hydrangea +
Hydrangeas love water. Keep their vase full and stems freshly cut. If a bloom begins to wilt, a fresh cut and generous hydration can often help it recover.
Peonies +
Peonies may arrive relatively closed and open beautifully over the following days. Give them clean water, room to bloom and a cool location away from direct sun.
Ranunculus +
Ranunculus have delicate hollow stems. Handle them gently, keep the water clean and avoid overfilling the vase.
Lilies +
Lilies open gradually and can last for many days. Once accessible, gently remove pollen-covered stamens to help prevent staining on clothing or surfaces.

Why are my flowers drooping? +
Your flowers may simply need water. Recut the stems, replace the vase water and remove any foliage sitting below the waterline. Give them a little time to hydrate.
Why is my vase water cloudy? +
Cloudy water usually means bacteria is developing. Empty the vase, wash it thoroughly, refill it with fresh water and give your stems another clean cut.
One flower has died before the others. Is that normal? +
Absolutely. A seasonal bouquet contains different flower varieties, and each has its own natural vase life. Remove fading stems and continue enjoying the flowers that remain.
Should I add anything to the water? +
If flower food was provided with your bouquet, follow the instructions on the package. Most importantly, keep your vase and water clean and refresh the water regularly.
How long should my flowers last? +
Vase life varies by flower variety, maturity and environment. Some flowers are naturally shorter-lived than others. With proper care, your bouquet should continue to evolve beautifully over several days.
