    Poinsettias are a timeless holiday favorite, bringing vibrant color and festive cheer to your home. Known for their striking red, pink, or white bracts, these plants make a perfect seasonal centerpiece or gift.

    Care Instructions

    • Light: Place your Poinsettia in a bright location with plenty of indirect sunlight. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves, and low-light areas, which may reduce its vibrancy.

    • Temperature: Poinsettias thrive in temperatures between 65°F and 75°F (18°C-24°C). Protect them from drafts, sudden temperature changes, and exposure to cold, as these can cause leaf drop.

    • Watering: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging, which can lead to root rot. Discard any excess water from the saucer after watering.

    • Humidity: Poinsettias prefer moderate humidity. If your home is dry during winter, consider placing a tray of water with pebbles near the plant to increase humidity.

    • Fertilization: During the holiday season, fertilization is not necessary. If keeping your Poinsettia beyond the holidays, feed it monthly with a balanced houseplant fertilizer starting in spring.

    • Pruning: After the bracts fade, prune the plant back to about 6 inches to encourage new growth. Continue pruning lightly through the growing season to maintain a compact shape.

    • Post-Holiday Care: Poinsettias can rebloom with proper care. In early fall, place the plant in complete darkness for 12-14 hours each night and bright, indirect light during the day. This process, called photoperiodism, helps initiate blooming for the next holiday season.

    • Decorating Tip: Pair your Poinsettias with festive ornaments, garlands, or candles for an eye-catching holiday display.

We deliver to all areas within Montreal and Laval (and further with additional fees).

Typical delivery rates are between $13.96 and $24.95 with some exceptions. All orders over $150 receive free delivery*.

Recipients will receive delivery updates via text or email.

In the case that the recipient is not available during delivery, the driver may leave the flowers at the door or have it brought back to the shop, unless otherwise requested.

Our flowers are always securely packaged with a water source. However, in temperatures below freezing, we cannot leave flowers at the door.

Failed deliveries will be sent back to our shop and available for pickup.

Yes! We can accommodate same-day deliveries up to 11:00pm EST.

At Mtl Flower Co, we depend on weekly seasonal availability from our many unique growers and suppliers. All our bouquets and arrangements are custom created just for your order and will include only our freshest blooms and florage.

At our studio, we receive fresh flowers almost daily and follow a meticulous care routine to ensure they last as long as possible. Every bloom has a unique vase life, ranging from 5 days to over 2 weeks, and proper care at home plays a big role in keeping them fresh.

To prolong the life of your fresh-cut flowers, be sure to:

  • Change the water regularly
  • Trim the stems at an angle
  • Keep them away from direct sunlight
  • Avoid placing them near heat or cold drafts

All our fresh-cut flowers are thoughtfully packaged with flower food to help you enjoy their beauty to the fullest.

If you feel your flowers didn’t arrive fresh, please contact us at sales@mtlflowerco.ca within 48 hours of receiving your bouquet/arrangement. Be sure to include photos and a brief explanation of the issue so we can assist you promptly.
