    Azaleas are a classic flowering plant, known for their vibrant blooms and lush foliage. With shades ranging from bright pinks to soft whites, they make a striking addition to any home, garden, or patio, adding a burst of color to your space.

    Care Instructions

    • Light: Azaleas thrive in bright, indirect light. Indoors, place them near a window with filtered sunlight. Outdoors, they prefer partial shade to protect them from harsh afternoon sun.

      Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Use well-draining soil and water deeply when the top inch of soil feels dry. Avoid letting the plant sit in standing water.

      Temperature: Azaleas prefer cooler temperatures between 60°F and 70°F (16°C-21°C). Keep them away from drafts, heat vents, or extreme temperature changes.

      Humidity: These plants enjoy higher humidity levels. To maintain humidity indoors, place a tray of water with pebbles near the plant or use a room humidifier.

      Fertilization: Feed your Azalea every two weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a fertilizer designed for acid-loving plants. Stop fertilizing during the fall and winter months.

      Pruning: After blooming, trim back spent flowers and lightly prune to shape the plant. This encourages healthy growth and more blooms in the next season.

      Repotting: If your Azalea is potted, repot every 2-3 years in spring using acidic, well-draining soil to provide fresh nutrients and room for growth.

      Pests and Diseases: Keep an eye out for pests like spider mites and aphids. Treat infestations with insecticidal soap or neem oil. Ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal issues.

We deliver to all areas within Montreal and Laval (and further with additional fees).

Typical delivery rates are between $13.96 and $24.95 with some exceptions. All orders over $150 receive free delivery*.

Recipients will receive delivery updates via text or email.

In the case that the recipient is not available during delivery, the driver may leave the flowers at the door or have it brought back to the shop, unless otherwise requested.

Our flowers are always securely packaged with a water source. However, in temperatures below freezing, we cannot leave flowers at the door.

Failed deliveries will be sent back to our shop and available for pickup.

Yes! We can accommodate same-day deliveries up to 11:00pm EST.

At Mtl Flower Co, we depend on weekly seasonal availability from our many unique growers and suppliers. All our bouquets and arrangements are custom created just for your order and will include only our freshest blooms and florage.

At our studio, we receive fresh flowers almost daily and follow a meticulous care routine to ensure they last as long as possible. Every bloom has a unique vase life, ranging from 5 days to over 2 weeks, and proper care at home plays a big role in keeping them fresh.

To prolong the life of your fresh-cut flowers, be sure to:

  • Change the water regularly
  • Trim the stems at an angle
  • Keep them away from direct sunlight
  • Avoid placing them near heat or cold drafts

All our fresh-cut flowers are thoughtfully packaged with flower food to help you enjoy their beauty to the fullest.

If you feel your flowers didn’t arrive fresh, please contact us at sales@mtlflowerco.ca within 48 hours of receiving your bouquet/arrangement. Be sure to include photos and a brief explanation of the issue so we can assist you promptly.
